OUR FACILITY
Yes, we are in a village: more like Vedic Village – in the middle of lush green, paddy fields, bustling village market, house of farmers, small single-line railway station with a limited number of trains, a school with bells ringing – kids are running around, more than 125-year-old Public Library with old literature on palm leaves (tal patra) as assets worth of few lakhs, old Zamindar (Land Lord) house with a history of the British era, ponds full of fish with kingfisher catching fish and ducks floating on water, with nice tunes of birds all around, the air is so fresh making you feel sleepy, muds on roads in the rainy season, full of flowers everywhere in winters and still having old cultures of puja celebrations during Durga puja with the heritage of 100 years or more… and what not! And in the middle of that we have our self-sufficient 13,000 square feet area with a modern design studio, workshop, car parking, backyard garden with incubation areas for fresh thinking & showrooms of handmade products, Wi-Fi networked with high-speed internet and secured with HD CCTV cameras. Whoever visited in our place so far – scratched their memories with pleasant experiences of the place & hospitality they had after travelling down 40km from Kolkata city or airport. We are totally different from the rest what you might have seen so far as “design studio” in the middle of cities of India and abroad.
INNOVATION & RESEARCH
We can think fresh and come up with design solutions which can break the clutter or monotony of conventional thinking. The ambiance around us makes us fertile in divergent thinking for any subject we work. We can quickly make clay models by our own hands to curate ideas into physical shapes and forms. Designer needs open platform to think and fresh air to think loud – it is not an AC room or a particle board cubicle which can bring in fresh ideas. We have right blend of nature and technology together to enable innovation to germinate & develop further into engineering & implementation for the future & upcoming generations. We do research on ground too where we interact with people not to ask direct questions but to observe & learn from them to build our own understanding about a subject or product.
MODERNITY
We are well connected with modern world of technologies and aware of trends because of so much of open-source information available in abundance over the internet. We use the updated software that we need as per requirements and to serve better. We have a FDM prototyping machines along with a 4 Axis CNC router inhouse. We are also in the process of having few more modern 3D printers and a precision scanner in our setup – which will be one of its kind in entire eastern India. The space is very much well equipped with all hand tools, small machineries, and materials to experiment for new designs and ideas. We can build our own protypes and experiment to showcase the results without any loss of time to execute or giving shape to any ideas. Time = Cost: we always try to save money by saving time.

JUGAAD METHODOLOGY
This is unique to us as we are having good advantage of our location where we can easily get an expert in welding, metal working, wood working or any other kind of fabrication. In cities – that’s a difficult task to get that done inside cities. We are habituated with Jugaad to get things made and experiment. Even a small cycle store can make beautiful functional jugaad mechanism with scrap components of ball bearings, tubes, metal frames, chains etc. We can make prototypes and samples using local resources available around with better efficiency of time and at comparatively lowered cost.
LOCAL PARTNERS
We have multiple local partners closely connected with us who can read our drawings and make components. Even small-scale productions can also be done. People around us having facilities like hand shot injection molding, lathe work / turning job, silica rubber components molding, sheet metal bending and press work, tubular frame welding work, wood working, printing press etc. We help our clients – mainly MSMEs who wants to have extended design support till pilot launch of the product. There is a village eco-system working which are well connected with each other. If you want to make something – you have to just land in one place : people can get connected with each other to offer you a combined solution.
