Inverter Tray : Exide Industries Limited
OVERVIEW:
Inverters are being used in many Indian homes and small workspaces to have an emergency using during power cuts which is very common. Trend for those inverter installation was to have a outside plastic box to house the batteries keeping the backside open and on top of the box – inverter unit used to be placed where all controls and panels are visible. Checking the battery cell water was cumbersome as whole inverter unit needs to be removed along with the plastic box top cover and then checking the batteries and cell water. Frequency of this exercise was like once in six months or more frequently depending upon the battery life and usage. This whole complexity got removed by doing a simple design with integrated inverter placement tray with the battery outer shell itself. Tray is being designed to be sliding one so that user just need to slide out the tray and do the filling of water. This design got a good design award – I-Mark.
